Well, I have a small one but I kind of wanted to keep it a secret for now. But it involved Razor and Vega. ;3

Really? Okay. Am I going to find out before it happens? I'm just wondering.

You might, but I doubt it. That would ruin the fun. X3 But you'll get all the details once it is revealed so don't worry about that. You won't be kept in the dark forever. ^^
But it's hardly a site-wide plot. We need something more than just that.

Got one. Thought of it while I was in the shower today.
So, I know that humans left this place, right? Well what if a few returned. Not the same humans, but different ones. A scientific corporation studying genetic mutations and the capabilities of animals as weapons and such has been scouting the nearby lands and wilderness in search of wild animals to do experiments on. As they were flying over, they spot the apparently abandoned city and, noticing all the dogs and cats wandering around, thought it'd be the perfect place to set up shop and conduct their experiments in secret.
Now, this can go one of two ways:
1) The group, upon setting up some sort of hq somewhere, begin to snatch dogs and cats up from out of the city itself and perform experiments on them. They splice their genes with that of wild animals, use scientific and medical-based techniques to surgically alter and mutate them basically into monstrous versions of whatever they were before.
You can implement rules to limit the changes to a dog's size (set a height limit or something) so we don't get super godmoding characters running around and, as a supplementary rules, characters must first be created as normal cats and dogs and cannot be created as mutated creatures. Perhaps, after a character has been rpied like... three times in three complete threads, their player will be allowed to mutate them via the scientist people. That way, only members who have been active and have been rping can play mutated characters, and not some noob who just joins and suddenly decides to play a 5 ft tall dog.
I explained that a little funny but I hope you see what I'm saying.
2) Another option is to simply have the scientists bring with them an single experiment, a giant monstrous creature that escapes the lab and terrorizes the city. So they don't actively mutate people's characters but, instead, have created a mutated antagonist who will constantly attack and assault the characters being played here on the site.
It's not as interesting as the above option but it's more realistic. The other one delves a little into sci-fi/fantasy, though when I deal with mutated characters I always base the changes I make and traits they receive on things that have actually been done to animals in real life. But not everybody is so knowledgeable.
But what do you think of those as main plots?

Hmmm.....I will have to think about it. Its pretty good, yes. But the thing is, not only am i not crazy about mutated characters and stuff like that, there is a lot of people who don't like that kind of stuff...Though, I will think about it. Thanks for telling me. =D

I know it's a bit of a stretch since it's kind of... strange, but if it's any reassurance, I used to be an admin on a site that was ALL about mutated dogs and similar animals (a few horses and a bunch of cats, but mostly dogs and wolves) and it was a HUGE success. We had 120 members when I left and at its best, it was insanely active. The benefit of having mutated characters is that people can exercise some serious creativity, coming up with different traits, designs, and genetic combinations for their characters.
But that may not be the type of crowd you are trying to appeal to, which I would surely understand. It's just that I'm one of those creative types of people. ;3 That and I can kind of cheat at that sort of thing. I've got a doctor as a mother and live in a family full of dorks so I can mutate my characters to make them more interesting while staying within the boundaries of reality and staying out of the boundaries of godmoding. That's why I was in charge of accepting characters on that site I mentioned, because I know (or can find out) what's realistically possible and what isn't.
... wow. I talk too much. X3 *searches for another idea*

Hmm...I'm still not sure... Because i had made this to me realistic and that is what i was actually hoping for.....Sorry.....As i said, I'm not a fan of mutated stuff...I like it, i just don't like the mutating thing of it...

No problem. Don't get upset about it or anything. o.O It's no big deal. I'm just coming up with suggestions and then voicing my reasoning behind them, that's all. I figure you'd have an easier time making a decision if you have all the facts I could think of, both in support and against it.
I have a hard time coming up with realistic plots, myself. Mostly because I find overly realistic things to be generally boring. But let's see what I can come up with without being cliche or stealing an idea from a tv show or something. ^^;
What if... another animal other than a dog or cat invades the city? Like... I dunno. A bear or something. Or a really big snake. Have it run a muck, kill a few people and what not, and the dogs and cats on the site have to.. band together to defeat it?

You shouldn't. You can't go through life trying to please everyone. It'll literally drive you crazy... Take from someone who's been there.
Really? o.O I can't really say I do. >.> I've tried similar plots to it on about four other sites now and each one has failed. While it may sound good in theory, it's hard to role-play in an interesting manner. Someone's gonna have to play the antagonistic animal (and whoever that person is is going to have to keep up with all posts based on the plot), people are going to have to let go of their egos and actually let their characters get hurt/beaten by whatever this thing is, and there's a high chance of powerplaying or players cheating so their character is the one to destroy the creature and gets all the glory.
I dunno. It's just never worked for me in the past, but it's better than nothing, right? ^^ Besides, it's your site. If you love it, I'm sure we can make it work.

Yeah. I know. But, i really can't help it...
Oh, yeah. I never thought of that. Oh well...I'll keep it under a maybe list. And hopefully, we can come up with a better one.
I was thinking something i'm not sure. I"m going to send it to you.

It's just an idea...
So a strange sickness appears from no-where. No animal knows where it has come from or how it originated. No-one knows how it spreads, or what it does. All they know is that the epidemic began when a diseased dog/cat came into their middist, with glazed eyes, a blooded pelt and the smell of rot clinging to its body. The pack took it in. The next day the animal died and a pack member was discovered with the same symptoms..
Okay so that is an extremely basic plot line. Please improve on it if you could xP
- Maybe a dog/ group of dogs/ cats find out how the sickness is caused, they have to try and stop it but there are complications...etc.
- Members of the pack split up, to form their own rogue communities. One of these rogue packs find a cure or something like that, and blackmail other dogs with the promise of a cure etc..
